Camilo Espinosa | Hip Hop | Beginner/Intermediate | 25-35 Dancers Ass — Big Sean feat Nicki Nicki. Fucking. Minaj. Gonna push performer’s performers with a set of choreo that is varied in styles and difficulty. I want beginner and intermediate dancers that want to challenge themselves. I’ll also focus on useful dance concepts and try to make it a good learning experience not for the choreo itself but for dance in general. |
Hugh Day-Williams, Tim Nguyen, Narindra Peaks | Hip Hop | Advanced | 20 Dancers The Buzz — Hermitude striving to make this dance a wide range of hip hop based styles. i.e. west coast, popping and isolations, top rock etc. |
Sara Tollestrup | Ballet | Intermediate/Advanced | Up to 16ish Dancers Piledriver Waltz (Submarine version) — Alex Turner Throwback to #teenageangst. Watch the movie Submarine to see what I mean. I would like technically trained dancers for the piece, and especially pointe dancers! The dance will hopefully be 50/50 pointe/flat shoes, and the style will be a more alternative/contempy type of ballet. |

Thad Daguilh & Claire Nobuhara | Hip Hop | All | 30 Dancers Black Beatles – -Rae Sremmurd Pretty clearly a Rae Sremmurd set… we’re working with a lot of different styles of musicality (see: Unlock the Swag vs. the This Could Be Us remix). We’re looking for a solid mix of dancers from all skill levels. The story basically follows some guy going after some girl for the entire set until end where they finally get together… maybe. It’s gonna be lit! |
Jeanie Pearson | Contemporary | Advanced | 16 Dancers ““Inches”“ speech from the movie Any Given Sunday The theme of this dance is about not giving up when things get hard. It will be angsty at the beginning but transition into being more determined/powerful/resolute feeling. The music will be interspersed with clips from the “Inches” speech from Any Given Sunday. |
Khanh Nguyen & Moti Ogunsina | Hip Hop | Advanced | 15-20 Dancers T-shirt — Migos Fun, hype challenging set. We’re gonna explore different styles from femme, buck, dancehall, zauce, etc, as well as incorporate a lot of creative visuals. We want people who push themselves to learn and perform the set to our vision. T-Shirt will be the sauciest piece, pushing dancers to learn that balance of swag and chill, Rocket will be a smooth femme piece with lots of textures, Not Nice will be a fun energetic dance hall piece, and Friday will be an in-your-face hype ass closer. HYPE. |

[CollaborATION] Katrina Mikofalvy, Aya Suzuki, Mackenzie McDonald, Wings Yeung, Claudia Chen | Contemporary | Intermediate | 15-20 Dancers Down — Marian Hill Quirky contemp with cool choreo. Swag without being swagger. Sometimes dancing can be dancing because it looks dope. |
Mackenzie McDonald | Contemporary | Advanced | 15-18 Dancers Aloha Ke Akua — Medicine for the People Angry and powerful contemp that was generally inspired by opposition to the current political situation. “My stubbornness is bottomless, my fearlessness is talking shit, and I am wide awake. And I’m taking names.” |
Chheangkea Ieng | Contemporary | Intermediate | 17-25 Dancers Family Portrait — P!nk This piece is about the emotional process that children go through when their parents are getting a divorce. There’s no storyline so it’s more free in terms of the structure of the piece. Every dancer will play a child in a broken home. The style will be a mixture of hip hop or contemp, but really it focuses more on the musicality of the song and how it feels to my body. Dancers interested can audition for either contemp or hip hop to be considered. |
