A pretty, floaty, fun, happy, feels good dance. Lots of energy but also lots of elegance. You know, because we’re classy people

Imagine walking alone down a street and feeling like there’s someone following you, but when you turn around, there’s no one there. Except there is someone – or something – behind you, just out of sight, watching…

Isolation. How it feels to be isolated and alone even when, and especially when, other people are around. Throughout the dance, groups of dancers will move together while one or two dancers move separately, isolated. Dancers will cross paths, brushing past each other, maybe briefly touching, but never connecting. The movement will vary from sharp and controlled to movements of collapse as dancers lose their composure. Dancers will never make eye contact even when dancing together. I choreograph to layers of the music, so each dancer or clump of dancers will be visualizing a different sound/instrument. (Hope this isn’t too much of a bummer, but I think it could be really powerful! I can describe it more at the audition.)

The melody is beautiful, but the lyrics are about people who are struggling to maintain real love in a relationship. We want to portray the beauty of the music as well as the sadness and anguish that lie beneath the surface.

Party vibes (with a side of angst) inspired by popular Latin music :) Featuring 3 fun bangers and a bachata-remix-partner-piece to spice it up. Our choreo focuses on precision and commitment to the vibe, so we hope that while you are having fun, you can also grow as a dancer, no matter what experience you come with.

Big mood is dark turning to light, start with red lighting with a dark background, shifting to gold with a dark background, gradually going to bright blue. Costume would be a camouflage t-shirt with dance name on it
