Specifically, it will deal with my experiences having crushes on straight friends. So it goes into the complications of two people who both love each other, but in different ways. |
Sydney Volanski | Contemporary | Intermediate | 16-20 Dancers The District Sleeps Alone Tonight – The Postal Service Tells the story of a breakup where one of the people has changed and the relationship doesn’t quite make sense anymore. Focus is on musicality and performance/expression, so I would love to have dancers from any background! |
Hugh Day-Williams | Hip Hop | Advanced | 20+ Dancers The Next Episode – San Holo Remix Different flavors of trap music ranging from swagto sexy to fun to thug. It’s al about having some fun, getting creative and pushing yourself. |
Victor Gutierrez & Elizabeth Parizh | Contemporary with Hip Hop Influences | Beginner/Intermediate | ~20 Dancers Habits (Stay High) – Tove Lo A contemp piece with influences from hip-hop, jazz, broadway, and gymnastics. Each section focuses on a different emotion after a break up, going from denial to anger to bargaining/sadness to acceptance. It will have a range of choreography to cover the range of emotions. |
Frankie Garcia | Contemporary | Intermediate/Advanced | 7-11 Dancers You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me – Cher (Burlesque Soundtrack) Focus of piece is strength and vulnerability. I want my dancers to embody triumph from a place of weakness. Large improv section to allow dancers to explore their own musicality, different textures, shapes, etc. Tell your own story but also connect with fellow dancers and theme as a whole. Listen to the lyrics, they speak for themselves. |

All levels are welcome but the choreo will be focused toward developing intermediate level dancers. |
